Ligue 2: Caen only leader while waiting for Bordeaux

Caen took control of Ligue 2 alone this Saturday after a convincing victory over Guingamp (4-1) as part of the 4th round of the championship.

Led to the score on a goal from Barthelme at the start of the match (6e), the Normans reacted with authority through Ntim (18e), Mendy (19e), Essende (52e) and John (76e).

Credited with 10 points after four days, Stade Malherbe is leading Amiens in its wake, who signed a third win in a row at the expense of Bastia (3-1). Dijon completing the provisional podium by two lengths thanks to its victory in front of Nîmes (2-1).

Metz and Laval then arrive, back to back this evening at the end of a spectacular game (3-3) marked by two expulsions from Lorraine (Oukidja in the 58e and Centonze at the 90e+4).
