Women’s Euro: The first known semi-final

Sweden has snatched its ticket for the last four of the Women’s Euro and will challenge the host country, England.

Second nation Fifa (behind the USA and just ahead of France), Sweden waited for additional time in their quarter-final of the Women’s Euro to eliminate Belgium (1-0), Friday evening, in Leigh (at the West of Manchester).

The Red Flames keeper worked miracles in her goal but Sweden’s 34th shot was the right one. In force, Linda Sembrant, the defender passed by the MHSC, gave the victory to her team (92nd).

The Swedes join England for a terrible semi-final next Tuesday in Sheffield.

In the other part of the table, Germany has climbed into the last four and is waiting for the France or the Netherlands, who face each other on Saturday evening.
