The noose tightens to Benjamin mendy. While he was already the subject of four complaints for rape and another for sexual assault, the French world champion must face two new charges for rape cases. Charges revealed by the services of the prosecutor in charge of the Mendy case to the press agency PA Media.

The announcement comes as the Manchester City defender has an appointment with English justice on Thursday to announce whether or not he pleads guilty or not in the first four cases of rape and sexual assault which have earned him jail since the end of September. And this while the Chester court refused to respond favorably to the various bail requests made by his lawyers.

The international tricolor is accused of four rapes and sexual assault by three women, including a 17-year-old minor. Facts which would have occurred at the home of the footballer between October 2020 and August 2021. Placed on parole at the beginning of the year, Benjamin Mendy was prohibited from organizing parties bringing together more than four people. After violating this ban, the player trained in Le Havre, who denies the facts with which he is accused, was placed in detention at the end of August and is now awaiting a trial which should be held from January 24, 2022.
