Real, Juventus and Barça have seen justice overturn UEFA’s sanctions on the Super League. The fight is not about to end.
Justice agreed with the rebels. Real Madrid, Juventus and FC Barcelona welcomed each other on Friday, in a joint press release, a court decision ordering UEFA to stop all actions or sanctions against the founding clubs of the Super League.
The European football institution had first imposed financial fines on the first nine clubs (out of twelve) for having participated in the development of a competition in the prestigious Champions League.
UEFA then indicated that it had launched a sanctions procedure against the three main “dissidents”, Real, Barça and Juve. This process is therefore, a priori, frozen and canceled. A court in Madrid had also earlier this month asked UEFA to withdraw its disciplinary actions.
« The case will be analyzed by the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, which will examine UEFA’s monopoly position on European football The statement continued. The words are strong and the Super League may continue to be talked about.
